The ever-burning lamp is a legendary device spoken of among the Cealdar, a lamp said to give light forever. Kilvin believes that making such a thing was once within the scope of the artificer's craft, though the knowledge has since been lost. He has spent ten years attempting to reproduce it, building many lamps that burn very long but none that burn forever.
